The driver software for this scanner is for Windows computers only so it wont work on a Mac.

Click on the Driver for ITNS-500 link to download the driver update setup file. Once the file has downloaded, run it to get the process going and follow the instructions/prompts on your screen. Jan 17, 2017 The ITNS 500 scanners built before 2013 WILL NOT work on MAC or Win 8. The bottom of the box has a date of manufacture. If you don’t have the box the serial # is on the bottom of the scanner. Call or logon to the IT folks and they will tell you when it was made. My computer was shut down without closing the app, and I did have to start from lesson one again, but it wasn’t a big deal. Only question, and perhaps I will figure it out, is I don’t see where you can sign in and start where you left off. As soon as I am doing better, I will happily pay the fee. This app is definitely worth the money. Mac typing game. I really appreciate the help, as I am a bit low on money right now, so thank you so much for providing the app for free.
shutdown the Mac and restart
immediatly after the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
let the Mac start up completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired
go to; Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility > First Aid > Repair Disc Permissions
when this has completed restart the Mac normally
once the Mac has restarted drag all evidence of the software to the trash
